Using WhatGenius
Navigating the Dashboard

Overview
The dashboard is your home screen in WhatGenius. It shows the connection status of your workspace and gives you quick access to the most common actions without navigating to a specific section.
The sidebar
The left-hand sidebar is how you move between sections of the app. It is always visible on desktop and slides in as an overlay on mobile.
To open the sidebar on mobile: Tap the menu icon (three lines) in the top-left corner of the header.
To collapse/expand the sidebar on desktop: Click the arrow button at the very bottom of the sidebar. When collapsed, only icons are shown; hover over an icon to see its label.

Note: Some items are only visible if you have the required permissions for that section. If you cannot see a section that you expect, ask your workspace owner to review your permissions.
The header bar
The header bar runs across the top of every page and shows:
- The name and icon of the current section you are viewing.
- Connection Center button (wifi icon) — opens a panel showing your WhatsApp number connection status.
- Notifications button (bell icon) — opens recent system notifications.
- User menu (your avatar/initials on the right) — access your profile, switch workspaces, and sign out.
The workspace status card
At the top of the dashboard you will see a card showing your workspace name and its current connection state:
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Ready (green) | Your WhatsApp number is connected and you can send messages |
| Action required (yellow) | Something needs your attention — typically your number needs to be verified or reconnected |
| Not connected (red) | No WhatsApp number is connected yet |
If you see an Open Connection Center button inside the card, click it to resolve the issue. This takes you to the connection setup for your WhatsApp number.
Quick Actions
Below the status card, the dashboard shows four action cards:
| Quick Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Start campaign | Opens the campaign creation wizard to send a message to many contacts |
| Send message | Opens a modal to send a one-off message to a single contact |
| Open messenger | Takes you to the Inbox to read and reply to conversations |
| Import contacts | Opens the import tool to upload contacts from a CSV file |
Click any card to begin that action immediately.
Switching workspaces
If you are a member of more than one workspace:
- Click your avatar or initials in the top-right corner.
- In the dropdown, find the current workspace name near the middle of the menu. A switch icon appears beside it.
- Click the workspace name or the switch icon to see the list of available workspaces.
- Select the workspace you want to switch to.
The page will reload with the selected workspace’s data.
Accessing your profile
- Click your avatar or initials in the top-right corner.
- Click My Profile in the dropdown.
Tips & things to know
- The quick action cards on the dashboard are shortcuts — you can always access the same features from the sidebar.
- The dashboard does not display campaign results or analytics directly. Go to Campaigns in the sidebar for detailed campaign information.
- Your workspace name and timezone are displayed inside the status card for quick reference.
